CBSE Class 10 and 12 Board Examinations to Begin from 17 February

Ajmer: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will conduct the annual examinations for Class 10 and Class 12 starting from 17 February.

According to the board, the Class 10 examinations will conclude on 11 March, while the Class 12 examinations will continue till 10 April. In the academic session 2025–26, more than 46 lakh students are expected to appear for the board examinations.

Admit Cards and Examination Centres

CBSE has informed that admit cards will be uploaded soon on the official website. Students will appear for examinations at centres located in major cities across India, including Ajmer, Ahmedabad, Delhi (East and West), Bhubaneswar, Patna, Guwahati, Chennai, Thiruvananthapuram, Panchkula, Raipur, Ranchi, Hyderabad, Gurugram, Lucknow, Dehradun, Bengaluru, Chandigarh, Bhopal, Vijayawada, Prayagraj, Noida, and Pune.

In addition, students from international centres such as Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and other overseas locations will also participate in the examinations.

Two Examination Opportunities for Class 10

Under the provisions of the National Education Policy (NEP), Class 10 students will be provided with two opportunities to appear in board examinations.

The examination held during February–March will be mandatory. The second examination, scheduled in May, will be optional and intended for students who wish to improve their performance.

Practical Examinations and Internal Assessment

Practical examinations and internal assessments for Class 10 and Class 12 students are currently in progress and will continue until 14 February.

CBSE has directed all affiliated schools to upload the marks of practical examinations and internal assessments on the designated online portal immediately after completion, using the prescribed formats.
